Geography & Humanities · Singapore · Since 2003
GeogCafe is not a do-everything tuition chain. It teaches Geography and the Humanities — and only that — from Secondary through JC, IB and IP. Structured notes, model answers, exam technique, small classes.

How lessons run
An interactive method run by a former MOE Subject Head and Senior Teacher. The same person sets the notes, teaches the class, and marks the work.

Most marks are lost on how a question is answered, not on what is known. Lessons drill command words, source-based skills, and structured-response writing to the marking scheme.
Classes are capped at eight. Small enough that every student is questioned, gets feedback, and develops viewpoints — not a lecture hall.
Concepts are anchored to real local and global examples — climate systems, urban change, hazards, citizenship — so they can be applied, not memorised.
What is taught
JC1 and JC2 H1 and H2 Geography, taught by a former JC lecturer with students across nearly every junior college.
Secondary 1–4, Pure and Elective Geography. Source-based skills and structured-response writing to the marking scheme.
International and Integrated Programme Geography, including final-year IB and IGCSE — taught previously at an international school as subject head.
O-Level Social Studies and History — source-based and structured-response skills, taught by an NIE-trained Humanities teacher.
Who teaches
GeogCafe's Principal Tutor is a former Ministry of Education Subject Head and Senior Teacher who has taught Geography since 2003 — and is the author of the GCE O-Level Geography Ten-Year-Series, used across Singapore for more than ten consecutive years, and an A-Level Geography model-essays guidebook sold islandwide.
The Humanities side is led by a Second Upper Honours double-major who has mentored Social Studies and History students since 2008. No revolving door of part-time tutors — the people who set the notes teach the lessons.
